If Prince was still alive? What do you think he would be doing right about now? Would he announce his retirement from making music? Would he host tours to his paisley park studio? Perhaps he could be in the process of writing another book. Would are your thoughts?

He would probably be mentoring younger artists and doing piano and microphone type of shows from time to time.

Thank you for responding. I think I would agree with you. I don't know why you were the only one who responded. I mean I thought it would be a pretty good topic to discuss in this forum. I guess not. Sheesh! Tough crowd! But to be honest with you, this was something that I was thinking about this morning. Like for real, what would be be doing right now if he was still alive? The man obviously had plans at one point.

In 2024 he would be book-touring alone, promoting his second book. Prince would finally have that hip surgery, and release the poem 'The One' to thank hospital staff. He would also go in rehab for his opiods addiction and promised a third book about how his savior saved him. Per each book, Prince would use another publishing house, because he took each and everone of them to court after low result sales. Prince would settle forever in uptown Minneapolis in a more modest home, with a downsized recording studio named "The " He would give up touring, and accepted again a 5 year deal in Vegas, for his extended Piano & Microphone Hit 'n Sample tour.

Probably touring semi-regularly and recording semi-regularly. It would be about time for that acoustic blues album that was mentioned in the late 90s.
He would probably continue to mentor other artists.

He had "that hip surgery" in 2010, didn't he?

I don't think he'd be doing anything different to what he'd been doing for the past 20 years. Touring every couple of years and releasing an album every year or two. I don't think he would have ever retired from music. I'd say he would have just continued on in the same way as Bruce Springsteen. And maybe even reunited with The Revolution for a Grammy's performance or something. Or maybe even a full blown tour to promote the 40th anniversary of Purple Rain. As for his personal life, I don't think it's a stretch to suggest he may have gotten married again. I doubt children would have been a priority at his age but I could definitely see him settling down with a wife. A wife who would probably be half his age but I think that goes without saying. If he had gotten married again I think there's a good chance his touring might have slowed down a little. Unless she was in his band or something.

I wondered if he would marry his girlfriend he was seeing at the time?

yes, "mentoring" like he did Carmen Electra, Anna Fantastic, Mayte Garcia etc.

...What would even lead you to believe he would ever retire? That's probably why this thread got low replies, it's just an absurd notion.
