March 16th: Podcast Eps - Owen Husney: "In 1976..he took the bus to my house, that's the Prince I loved." NEW Podcast Episode - Owen Husney: LINK
"This was 1976..he took the bus to my house, that's the Prince I loved."
Before Controversy, before 1999, Purple Rain, Parade, Sign O The Times and Paisley Park recording studios... local Minneapolis based entrepreneur Owen Husney, knew Prince Rogers Nelson, before he became Prince. The one who became one of the greatest artists and musicians of our time. As his first manager Owen ensured that Prince was signed to a 3 album record deal, with a high degree of autonomy to produce his own work. This was unheard of in the mid to late 1970s. This is his story, and his reflections on a unique time in music history.
Should be a good one.

Thanks for the interaction fragglerock - username is bringing back fond memories of childhood.
Asking for content to be moved to the 'graveyard' after only 1 week of being live... Eek. In defence of the many podcasts that are produced about Prince... Many of the ones I listen to are produced by fans for fans, which takes considerable effort on their part. These are not links to other articles or discussions being re-shared. P.Org has always been a great forum for great/new content to be found.
For the avoidance of doubt I've now dated the 2 most recent podcasts eps on the subject line of the post... but part 2 is coming soon apparently. From what I understand it's going to be a really great listen.
7 days plus feels more than ok for a topic or 30+ mins of carefully considered/curated interview content (of a new interview) about Prince to be out in the world though, right?
Maybe give the next one a fair shake...it's all good, so try not to be too hard on it. Everyone out in the P fan community that I know, who make these things, really care. They do it for the love of the music.
Peace & Love4OneAnother
