Nice read. Very interesting story. Thank you for this.

It shows the human side of fun Prince, but also the asshole level that Prince had.

The nonsense talk of leaving things up in God's hands, for not wanting to improve his own (technological) way of working, is some kind of a Princely shortcomming imho.

But obviously he knew exactly what he wanted, whatever the cost was, whatever people and talent he had to throw away.

The shouting to Agel in front of his band mates is also spoiled brad-ish and pretentious.

"But hey, it's Prince, respect that," is what fans should say. I for sure would not take it.

I rmember Michael Koppelman's story about this as well...

Prince also seems to have not much empathy.

For example when Agal wants to spend some time with is family.

Stories we heard already many times before from other employees.

He used people in a disposible way, obviously until they were burned.

Prince needed some serious anger management. Right? wink)))

What a good article. Thank you.

In all fairness to Prince, who is not here to speak his persepective, I just want to say that he gave a lot of young people great opportunities (including travel, room and board - and I am sure a lot more), so if they became at some point unsatisfied that the public didn't "hear" their work and thus wanted to stop their time at PP, Prince was wise enough to know to let them go.

At that point the ego has come in.

I would love to know who the girlfriend was he serenaded with PR smile

Susan Rogers and Hans-Martin Buff can attest to that.

We're giving him props for paying for hotels and travel expenses for his touring band now? What a saint employer. You see, it's not all horror stories. On occassion he probably gave them a lunch break, too.

Anyway, he routinely fined the same band mates, so...

Good job KitKats weren't a thing in america back then. Prince would have hated them.

The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. In other words all the govts. need sacking!

If you can add value to someone's life then why not. Especially if it colors their days...
