ottoegil said: I bought it two days ago. I make vinyl records for a living myself, and think this one is great. Very good pressing. The only reason this was a CD-only release initially, is that the major labels didnt give two shits about vinyl in 1999 - so I think it's about time this was rectified. And what are the differences between the CD and vinyl version exactly ?

It's been explained it detail earlier in the thread. Side point: why do the mods not put new releases on the home page?

Because they are re-issues? But indeed it would be nice to put it up on home page. That home page has little to no use... The Celebration announcement 2024 isn't even up there yet. Absolutely not, or I missed it. Besides " it sounds warm to my ears" That's not what I would call a " detailed explanation"

Seems like you missed a lot of other posts then.

Nice to see another Tynesider-of-sorts here (I say "of sorts" as I'm originally from Teesside, so no Tynesider of any kind really, but hey, I've lived here since 2016... I think I have my feet under the table by now... lol)
Anyway, I picked up my copy from HMV Newcastle today (did check Windows first the previous weekend, but didn't see any copies in their racks then).
As a few others have mentioned, the lack of promotion of this one has been a bit baffling. Even the reissue of Come (a formerly relatively expensive/"rare" album on vinyl) only got mentioned in promotional emails by the official store, and never on the official social media channels.
Hopefully, that's not a sign of things to come in terms of the Estate's interest in future vinyl reissues...

I was in HMV on Wednesday and flicked through that very copy of The Vault! Aye, it's a bit weird that this release has seemingly gone under the radar because it sounds fantastic 👌 I'm currently looking forward to seeing the New Purple Celebration tribute act at the Riverside next week. It's the first time I've gone to a Prince tribute so I'll let you all know how it goes 😎✌️🎸

I bought the vinyl last week. I really like the album, especially 'When the Lights go Down' and ' 5 Women'. The sound quality of the LP is great!! The best I have ever heard these songs. [Edited 3/5/24 10:58am]
