back to the future, purple version You get to go back in history and alter or erase one moment from prince history. What do you change? Me, i wish prince never heard the game boyz rehearsing the humpty dance during that nude tour soundcheck which led to Tony becoming the npgs in house rapper. It would have altered the sound of those early 90s albums (though prince might have just done more rapping instead, which mightve been worse, not sure)

What would the mj duet have changed?

"Graffitti Bridge" album AND most importantly the movie. He should have released a greatest hits to go with the Nude Tour, take some time off, and save a helluva lot of money and reputation

Encourage him to take better care of himself and seek help earlier. He'd still be around and releasing brand new music for most people here to hate on.

This. And it would be a very hard task.

I’d convince him (Inception style) to create a website where everybody would have full access to all his audio and video recordings, and allow fools like me to make endless remixes en remasters with the original recording tracks.
I know, this was not the question but hè, it’s my fantasy, OK? When it’s only about erasing a single thing, it would be… Graffity Bridge. I don’t ‘get’ that album, although it contains the magnificent ‘Question of U’ [Edited 11/28/23 5:28am] [Edited 11/28/23 5:33am] "In Funk We Thrust" - Bootsy Collins

I wish he never met Kirky J. I mean, he seems to be a nice guy. I am talking MUSICALLY only. That era (96-2000) was the most plastic of his career. . [Edited 11/28/23 15:53pm]

This! I spent most of my adult life looking forward to what Prince was doing next, and not just to hate on it

. What "never met". Dude went to Clive to shop him his album.

It just didn't live up to the "album he was born to make". Ancient Egyptians postulated 7 souls.
Top soul, and the first to leave at the moment of death, is Ren, the secret name...

Don't you dare take Emancipation away from me!

What would have happened if Dez stayed in the band? No need for Wendy --> no Wendy and Lisa --> no Revolution as we know it.

What would've happened if Dez and André STAYED in the band, WITH Wendy & Lisa, in this serious expanded Revolution as we don't know it? Yeah but where does that leave Brownmark... throw him in as well, double bass players, Prince maybe would've loved it. ... (tall this to) Arthur Turnbull? It would have made it harder for Prince to seem straight to the casual music listener that thought he was gay or bi. "Your butt is mine". MJ was a Disney movie and Prince was an arthouse film by comparison. That duet would have been like trying to combine Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and The Godfather. It was a ridiculous idea and Prince was right to say no.

I think Larry Graham is a far better person for Prince to not ever have met. He likely would've gotten his hip pain delt with surgically rather than believing that "soul is in the blood" no blood transfusion bullshit that killed Selena. He could've banked his blood leading up to the surgery OR he could've just acquired a basic understanding of reality and did what Morris Day encouraged him to do.

. - I dont think Michael was ´that´ dumb, but I am glad that duet didnt happen. Ok, Prince would have one more hit and be more famous, but you are right, Prince was doing Parade, SOTT, etc at that time, which was way more interesting than one of these cheesy duets

Side note, speaking of Back To The Future.

Se7en said: Side note, speaking of Back To The Future. Prince didn't really have a signature dance like MJ did so when Mad Dog Tannen is shooting at him and telling him to dance, what would Marty do? The splits? Probably not the wisest move considering Mad Dog was shooting at the floor. [Edited 12/14/23 6:22am]

Huh? MJ directly referenced 'Back To The Future' at the beginning of the "Black n White" video. Whoever wants to pay the fee gets the nod, nudge, winky-winky! "Whatever skin we're in
we all need 2 b friends" | |

I'll go there... I wish his son would have been alright or that at least they had talked to doctors and gotten the care they needed, both during pregnancy and after, regardless of what happened. (and yes, that includes mental care) Paisley Park is in your heart - Love Is Here!

Back To The Future 3 was released a year before Black Or White though. Unless you're referring to the filmmakers adding Michael Jackson references into the movie in the hope that Michael Jackson would later reference the movies in a music video. But I don't see how that would benefit Back To The Future in any way.
