New release: Live At Glam Slam

Now available on Spotify!

Is this part of the D&P SDE or separate?

Sounds great!

Serious question…

Was Prince wearing braces on his teeth during this show?

Sounds lispy or like there’s something in his mouth, anyone else notice this?

During Diamonds & Pearls especially.

The sound is fantastic. Perfect mix, with crowd sounds. Listen 2 Sonny's bass!!

Probably some kind of effect like distortion.

and although I have been moaning and begging for a Parade SDE,
I have to admit that it is a breath of fresh air to hear an NPG era
show and just have a different side of prince on display for a bit cool

Recently confirmed by a source in contact with the french Schkopi forum....No Parade SDE is due for release in the future at this stage...despite the rumours since years there is no work in progress for a specific Parade SDE unfortunately ! neutral

thunder is good on this, but even in light of how thin the album version is, it should really sound heavier than it does live.

They sound unreal on this. Like being in the room. Sonny's bass on Thunder improves it ten-fold.

.

Had this on repeat. Just noticed P adds some lines from Love 2 The 9's into Insatiable.

Checked some of this out on YouTube last night. Thieves was interesting until the Forever In.../It stuff, Gett Off was ok, and Housestyle and Sexy MF weren't too bad...

I would think it would not be released until 2026.... I think the next one is Pruple Rain and then prince

Makes sense. Purple Rain will be 40 years in 2024 and didn´t have a SD edition.

There will be a lot of activity around that 40th PR anniversary. Andrea Swensson's book on the period (and what lead up to it). Celebration is aimed at honoring. Obviously, anSDE.

I think most of the elements for a Parade SDE must have been collected, but maybe all got put on hold for revised D&P and the PR 40.
Hopefully it’ll be next on the list though.

Batman SDE also seems to be a popular choice. Lots of interesting stuff from that era.

So many highlights on this live show. The horns performing for the first time. Rosie and The Steeles. Even Push is good!

This era NPG was his tightest live band, imo. Very much hope more live releases are in the pipeline. A compilation of the Act I and Act II tours would be killer.

Never was a huge fan of the song Diamonds and Pearls but this is a ferocious performance. Rosie sang like a powerhouse and Michael Bland just was so aggressive on drums…then the roar of Prince’s guitar…wow.

As many have said, the energy in this show is incredible. I can’t believe all the screaming in Sacrifice…I can’t wait to see the blu ray.
