- when pressing vinyl, press an original album, not three or four maxi vinyls with only two or three tracks on 1 side.

2.) release Black Is The New Black (finished or unfinshed),

- or another Originals, beginning of summer.

- keep the packages simple, compact and informative,

- plus maybe aftershow(s) of that era on dvd (or blu-ray?),

- same for vinyl release, keep it simple; one maximum two vinyls.

- stream more live, video's or other material?

3.) release Purple Rain SDE,

or

Parade SDE, early October...

4.) In between one-off song releases (1 or 2) are prefered,

- can be made available on CD, vinyl, or via stream or download

5.) Keep Celebration simple, and all about Prince,

- or completely NOT about Prince,

- make all parts of Celebration available via streaming

- like live shows, panel discussions

6.) Maybe release a unique book with all Prince's handwritten docs, artwork, whatever notes would (could) be interesting, about his private life... (for example)

7.) Documentary?

When choosing Purple Rain SDE ;

- give the package a way of making the whole story complete, but leave the known material,

- give the album a Dolby Atmos rework,

- include everything protegées

- (and make Protegées edits available only via download, for the completists),

- movie restoration +non used scenes,

- rehearsals?,

- the famous 1983 show,

- American Music Awards performance '85?,

- or other live show sugestions? (not Syracuse again please!)

- And don't make it like 12 vinyls again... keep it compact, more songs on 1 side vinyl).

- make more live, video's or other material available via streaming or YT

When choosing Parade/UTCM SDE ;

- make the package complete and keep it compact for all formats,

- all protegées material (and some available downloads only for edits etc),

- movie restoration,

- rehearsals?,

- one or two good live shows?,

- movie in colour +non used scenes,

- make more live, video's or other material available via streaming or YT

Originals is ovah, holmes.

The one success of D&P SDE was showing the fans mostly didn't bother with the stuff he gave away anyway, so you can just add them to The Vault discs and get fans saying, "see, he's still got some unreleased gems in The Vault," ignoring that the 13 Originals everyone digs from D&P SDE were neither unreleased nor unearthed from The Vault.

The idea of a Around the World in a Day SDE obviously is also great.

But that won't happen yet i think.

Rather than which album, I would like to hear from you all how you see it being released as a SDE.

With a combination of other possibilties like streaming or downloads, or whatever... to make the options wider for more unheard stuff, especially for the real fans... the completists.

And how packages should be conceived.

eye want a BOOK .. a simple book .. just a list .. a long list with everything they have in the vault .. of course eye enjoy the Tudal in depth books .. but eye just wanna know what is in that vault .. they must have it catalogued by now

I'd be well up for remastered versions of these protege albums!

Purple Rain 40th anniversary as said is a no brainer though for the estate let's see if it happens at all, because you better already have plans for it as 1984 was a huge release year and some are already chiming in on the reissues so act quick estate but this time no quick though together like the last time which was understandable like it or not PR is what drives media to prince not a reissue of Diamonds and Pearls. Hopefully though as mentioned to the protégés get releases, if not deluxe then at least remastered and reissued. If this happens don't expect too much more from the estate, the first avenue concert on blu Ray would be nice

Honestly they should just try to put more light on the fact its 40 years PR and work off of that to get Prince's name in the music talk again cause I am not hearing any talk at all

I don't know who you are, but I nonminate you for being in charge of everything coming out of Paisly Park - you got it, understand it, and just put together what I think is just a common sense release map for folks who will actually buy this stuff, as opposed to what they've been doing. Somebody pay this man, woman, whatever...

These are all excellent suggestions^ The piano and Microphone period and Black is the new black really need some attention.

I'd like to add a few more ideas :

Documentary? Better (shorter, more) documentaries!

Why not mulitple shorter documentaries to broaden the interest in Prince among the vast majority of the audience.

Spread across the various upcoming releases.

For example, shorter documentaries that each deal with one specific period.

Instead of yet another overview documentary that only skips information, because there is so much to tell and see.

There would be a short documentary with (or between) every release.

I think there is more than enough material available in the vault.

In this way one could maintain the focus (on the person and the music) and better detail and argue for the effect.
