Every set of songs that they release makes me less and less excited about this release. I guess they all can't be SOTT Super Deluxe.

Opposite reaction for me, I think Darkside is great. Feels looser and more authentic than anything I've heard from this D&P set so far. Love the panting and grunting or whatever he's doing. This is the kind of thing I could listen to on repeat.

Is this just an alternate version of the instrumental that came out a few weeks ago, but with a distracting Prince guide vocal over top? The guitar absolutely rips but I don't think any of Prince's instructions are interesting enough to justify keeping them in the mix.

If you're talking about Blood on the Streets, no, it's a different track altogether. Unless there was an instrumental version of Darkside I never heard, which is possible.

TBH Cream alternate, D&P long version, Darkside, Daddy Pop 12"... they could leave their space to I Hear Your Voice, I Wonder... I'm happy to have some outtakes in hi-fi, but I think all the package is overpriced. I'll wait to buy it.

darkside sounds like it could have been cut during the undertaker sessions. its much glossier though, and well, a bit cornier TBH. like prince in hendrix tribute mode (the bassline is obv very machine gun inspired). i can see why it wasnt released. cool to hear but its quite derivative as a riff and theres no song in there, its just a band rehearsal/vamping/jamming vehicle. it gets better half way through when the riff switches up. but otherwise, its something that would be cool live, but thats about it. one day i hope they finally release the undertaker officially.

You'd think ol' girl would know the song is "released" or posted per time zone. So Europe gets it before the US does, and the east coast gets it before the west coast, etc.

"Darkside" sounds like it would've ended up on Chaos and Disorder or The Undertaker.

The Estate destroying fans' enthusiasm for The Vault in one fell swoop. The full set hasn't even be released yet and the fans have had enough!

Where my conspiracy theorists at? Is this merely the latest tactic in lowering the value of his overall catalogue? I swear there's org threads from years back where we joked around about this kind of release... New Power Soul SDE would've been like SOTT SDE pt. 2 compared to this.
