The Unsung Heroes of the Glam Slam Concert....

Sure, Rosie Gaines, of course...

BUT ALSO TONY M.!!!!!!

He gets a lot of flack from the community but based on that one concert alone he added SO MUCH ENERGY AND POWER TO THE SHOW!!!!!

On record his contributuons don't really come through...but live it's insane.

To have been in the club that night would have been a face-melting experience and Tony M. was a huge reason why....

Nobody in the New Power Generation should be edited out.

The band was exactly what the early 90's minneapolis sound was.

Plus Prince lol

My butthole > Tony M.

The Steeles always added a nice layer to Prince's music.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I have always loved Tony M's rap voice. And always said as much.

IMO. They are certainly not unsung heroes.

Tony is NOT a rapper, he can not rap, he screams and yells.

Rosie always is shouting on the same note level, same hight, same 1 trick pony solo's.

She''s just a good back ground singer.

Did they add energy to the shows? Of course, if not Prince's would've sacked them.

-

The only singers Prince ever worked with who had great lead singing talent were, Jill Jones, Mavis St., maybe also Jevetta Steele, and that's about it.

All the rest were obviously great background singers.

-

Never understood what went on in Prince's head when he again and again decided to pick each one of them... probably looks, and manipulative personalities. And propably also not all that expensive on the payroll.
