Unless I'm mistaken, I haven't found any information addressing the subject I'm about to, neither on Prince.org nor from your friends at Schkopi.com nor elsewhere, so if I missed this, sorry !

I have just discovered a bootleg of Chaka Khan Sunshine Of My Life, a song which according to some should have been part of the album Dare You To Love Me, a project album produced between 1993 and 1995 (the same period as Me'Shell N. and Prince collaborated, isn't it ?), album never published but canceled by Warner for any reasons.
The Chaka Khan's version of the song Pain should have appeared on it, song which ended up on the soundtrack of the Living Single series eventually, this should have been Chaka Khan's 10th solo album and is pretty good as you can judge for yourself, Me'Shell Ndegeocello collaborates on several times.

A little something leads me to think that Pain was not the only Prince production destined to end up in Chaka Khan's hands, because regarding Sunshine Of My Life, it seems quite obvious to me that Prince is involved, at least if I judge by his voice which punctuates the chorus.

Another bootleg that you can easily listen to via YouTube (by searching for Dare you To Love Me) such as Trust seems a tad quite Princely to me as well, although we don't hear his sweet voice there, on the other hand this one was supposedly not intended for the album.

To a slightly lesser extent, the songs Here I am & Power make me wonder too ...

Doesn't sound like Prince involvement to me. But, neither did "Pain" so I don't know.

OK ... I do understand that "it doesn't sound like Prince" to you, but Prince is clearly singing on Sunshine Of My life though !!!! and not something like the Natural selection case ! (For those who knew, back in the time in 1991).

Very interesting - sounds like Prince voice alright - also the Public Enemy/Justify My Love sample beats are also connected to Prince in some way (Lenny stole them from someone as Paisley Park as I recall ??- EDIT: Ingrid Chavez wrote Justify My Love, not sure if that beat was lock down then though?)

Thank you for your feedback LOSTPASSWORDMAN (it's WHAT FYI) 😅 ! It's not only it sounds like him in my opinion, sorry I don't want to be mean but it's so obvious it's him that it is ridiculous how some of us can even doubt of it. What part of Prince's voice can't we recognize ? I still wonder 🤔

Sounds like Prince, but is definatly not him.

Prince would put a lot more of himself in only that.

That isn't Prince, it's not even close.

Also, "Justify My Love" musically has nothing to do with Prince, as other responses in this thread have implied. That song's story is fascinating though.

Please tell us as u seem well-informed, I'm curious, "That isn't Prince, it's not even close" according to your ears, your beliefs or your knowledge ?! Because until Chaka Khan lets us know the true story behind that one, my ears say it 100% sounds like Prince's voice or is VERY close. Regarding my knowledge, I admit I have none of this.
