The LM-1 drum machine returns as the Luma1 (Prince mention)

The LM-1 drum machine returns as the Luma1, and there’s one thing thing in particular that Prince “would have loved” about it says Roger Linn

Even if you bought this reboot (5K!), or could find one of the original 700 LM-1's(?K!), you'd never get that Prince sound.

He had his own special blend of herbs n spices lol

I think he had a prototype of the LM-1 with some different things in it compared to the retail version.

Thanks for posting. Is it possible Prince had a prototype before it was released properly in 1980, in other words might Prince have had a version in 1979.

Another interesting interview with Roger Linn in this link that’s been on here somewhere before:

Roger Linn said he gave him a version of it before it went to retail (or it was someone else who gave it to him)
