Lakeith stanfield is likeable, and he picks cool films, but can he act? He literally does the same thing every time ive aeen him pretty much lol
Basically just crying out for a good stoner comedy to star in |

So The Estate gave permission to use a Prince classic to fool with, why not...

NO idea what what this movie is about but, this is what is needed. We have to deliver Prince's music via Holywood Movies. If the Estate were smart, they'd allow more of this.... |

Doesn't WB still own Purple Rain (and Parade, Batman and Graffiti Bridge) ?

they need to license to video games, movies, tv shows really.
not indiscriminately, but those things help. |

I'm not sure.
At some point Prince got his masters back... right?
The WB dispute?
But i'm a nitwit when it comes to contracts and legal terms.
We have Bizzie for that kind of important shit. "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts" (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972) |

indeed, but the deal was I think that WB would keep the soundtracks for I don't know how long.

Is it that WB owns the masters for the soundrack albums? Or have they been licensed the distribution rights? There's a difference.
For example, Sony doesn't own the masters for Prince's non-soundtrack albums. They have an exclusive license to distribute them.

I just hope the licensing for distribution, but I seem to rememeber that Prince got everything exept the soundtracks and associated artists from the WB years from WB. WB has the licensing right to all albums up to Emancipation and Sony got evrything from Emancipation to the end.
