WHy did they left off the Hologram?

It was a signature idea for the release back in 1991

Even the CD Singles had holographic prints...

Too expensive ?

I can see leaving the hologram off of the cheaper versions (the 2CD and 4LP sets) -- but the full-blown SDE CD set is set at $160, with the SDE LP set at $350?!!!

Surely, a hologram on the cover is not too expensive to include on an already-expensive set.

Maybe offer an option on the website to order the 12x12 hologram separately from the SDE, something that would fit inside the SDE box alongside the book? Even if it's something like $25, purists would probably buy it.

One thing I just thought of: the hologram in the original CD and cassette release is protected by thick clear plastic from scuffing/handling/etc. I wonder -- if they had included the hologram on the cover -- how would it have held up over time?

Maybe 'Diamonds & Pearls' and all relevant subtitles are emblazoned all over the set next in French next to the American English original titles like DVDs/Blu-Ray.
