I'm not aware of any such version existing. If it did, was it something Warner Bros offered? Or might have simply been something one record store / one record chain improvised on their own?

I really don't think most Americans were actually bothered by the cover. Some record stores might have assumed we would be, but I don't think we were. Some people thought it was weird, but I never met anyone who was actually offended. Most people I knew refused to buy the CD because it was a single-track. That mattered far more than the cover.

I remember the sound of the Lovesexy cassette was so bad, they speed up the music, and there were 5 seconds of silience between every song, they just randomly cut it.

Artwork was cool though, bad colour print, with titel and performler in Arabic. Kinda nice and cheap.

Friend of mine has more or less the same but from India, one with Tina Turner on one side and Culture Club on the other... funny shit, often the b-side album of the cassette wasn't even mentioned on the artwork. Where are they now? lemme see....... garage, attic, basement, barn...

I've spent quite a lot of the last three years there - that bootleg industry was quite something back in the 90s - I think I came home with a hundred cassettes by a manufacturer called Thomsun Original. Obviously nothing like that being sold there now.

Yes i live in a big old house with a huge attic, where Prince can get lost and you might not find him for decades.
