CBS: New archival footage surfaces of Prince performing legendary 1983 "Purple Rain" set at First Avenue "In tandem with the 40th anniversary of the concert, WCCO dug into its archives to find video footage that hasn't seen the light of day in decades. The brief clip shows Prince working it out to "Computer Blue," in a version far more stripped down than the overdubbed suite that ended up on the LP. The fact that the sound fades out quickly before the video ends tells me it's part of WCCO's archives (again). They know new Prince information is key!
Edit: Oh. Duh... it said that is what it was. Still, good perception by me!

I love watching the full show and watching the crowd reactions for the "new" songs and how Prince introduces them.They have no idea what they are listening to but when Delerious and When You Were Mine and LRC are performed they go nuts ! |
