Nice piece. Prince certainly stuck to his vision of how he wanted things. It's such a shame that new artists aren't given that level of support today. If a debut album flops now that's it! Labels drop artists and only support the ones who are either well connected or critically acclaimed.
They won't even listen to artists who are starting out. I suppose talented people still manage to get through but labels appear to take more than they give now. 😎✌️🎸
