The Vault: Old Friends 4 Sale vinyl

According to this article from January 2022, they say that The Vault was supposed to be one of 12 vinyl reissues that the estate announced. "The Prince Estate is reissuing twelve of Prince’s albums on vinyl, in partnership with Sony Legacy this February".

I'm guessing that they're talking about the CD reissue for The Vault, but just lumped it in with the other vinyls, but seeing if anyone might know if The Vault was supposed to have a vinyl release but it got scrapped.

Oh, I wish they would bring out the vinyl! I know it was released as a contract fulfiller but it's got a gloriously jazzy feel throughout and I think it's quite cohesive as an album 😎✌️🎸

This is the one I am waiting for. When The Lights Go Down is one my all time faves...but the whole album is great.

This album has grown on me over the years.

I started to appreciate it after the 2009 Montruex shows.

It contains some really strong material.

She Spoke 2 Me
When The Lights Go Down
5 Women
Extraordinary

Are all great songs in my book.

A vinyl release would be very welcome.

I still want a rerelease of this so they can include all the other "I'll Do Anything" tracks.

Particularly: Be My Mirror, Make Believe, I'll Do Anything.

Man that was a nice melodic little set of songs he penned for that film/musical.
