Alexa De Paris on the Letitgo UK single? Was there any story here or did WB just shove an old song on there for no particular reason. If I'm not mistaken, this is the only (?) CD release of the full length Alexa De Paris? Did that play into it at all? Any involvement from Prince on the tracklisting or no?

I love the 12" of that. I use to blast it in my room to annoy my parents, vivid memories of the summer of 1986.
This leaves only ♥ or $ as the only WB song not avialable on CD or Digital format?

"Love Or Money" was available on iTunes. Maybe still, didn't check. "Money won't buy U happiness but it'll pay 4 the search."

I got a digital version of Love or $ from the Tidal download store a few years ago. That store no longer exists. Tidal is strictly streaming now.

From the OFFICIAL Prince site:
Prince wrote thousands of songs in his lifetime and released dozens of albums, ranging from studio recordings to live albums, compilations and collaborations with his many affiliated groups and protegés. The store selection will continually evolve with new and out-of-print titles added upon release.

♥ or $ (Extended Version) has been available on Spotify here in Canada 2 stream already 4 many years. It's associated with the Kiss (Extended Version); however, Spotify calls it ? or $, as I guess they don't use the ♥ "purplelectricity whenever our bodies touch"

who knows. ironic for a song called let it go that it has a b side from about 8 years prior. let it go is a bit over produced but a great, underrated single. obv he had been listening to some g funk from the time but it didnt sound contrived or cringe (the 'let the vibe just flow' line was very 93/94 but worked well), it was like g-funk, filtered through a slightly melancholy filter, though i did think it was a shame prince never got a dr dre or warren g remix even. or an industrial trent reznor remix of a song like this.

It was one of the first releases after The Hits/The B-Sides and "Alexa de Paris" was a notable omission due to space.

The whole atmosphere surrounding the release of "Come" was totally dark and sour due to his state of affairs with WB and the 'Prince is dead' thing while he was milking TMBGITW and promoting 1800 New Funk as . I always thought the odd inclusion of "Alexa De Paris" on the CD-Single and 12" was not based in any artistic decision but more like showing no interest whatsover and give a posthumous feel to the single, together with the 'Prince 1958 - 1993' on the artwork.

I don't think it's ever been talked about or revealed officially from anyone in the know. It's the only known CD release of the song. . One theory would be that WB was still in 'hits' mode from the previous year and they threw it on there since all the 1993 UK Hits related CD singles (Peach, Controversy) had really random 'hits' for B-sides - like Glam Slam, I Wish U Heaven, Girls & Boys, The Future, DMSR, NPG part II. Having Alexa de Paris feels like a leftover from having a past related B side in the Hits era. Letitgo was the first "Prince" single after he officially becamse so maybe the marketing team felt that a past Prince b-side re-released on CD would be enough to draw interest to long time fans and collectors. Prince always had total control so he surely Ok'd or approved it, regardless whether or not he came up with the idea. . Another theory would be that oftentimes he would release random old tracks at random times as a way to send someone a message (like a former girlfriend or former associate). Maybe it was more of a message to someone privately. Letitto - Alexa de Paris. Maybe he was trying to tell someone in private that he's moved on and to just let it go? . It's a guessing game really. “To create something from nothing is one of the greatest feelings, and I would – I don’t know, I wish it upon everybody. It’s heaven.” – Prince

You do know that iTunes has the option to download lossless files, right? Everything I buy from them is in ALAC, which is a lossless MP4.

Jus to answer your question, "Alexa De Paris on the Letitgo UK single?". Yes, it is on the UK single. Alexa de Paris version of 4 minutes and 55 seconds (just checked). I have an original cd single. That cd single may still be easy to find if you want an original. [Edited 8/7/23 23:40pm] [Edited 8/7/23 23:43pm]

Not a dedicated video, but it looks like WB threw one together using footage from the 3 Chains video release - https://princevault.com/i...o:_Letitgo Formerly TheDigitalGardener etc.

The original post starts with the line "Alexa De Paris on the Letitgo UK single?". I repeat, the fist sentence of the original post is "Alexa De Paris on the Letitgo UK single?". And the subject of the thread is "Alexa De Paris on the Letitgo UK single?".
