I'm really surprised he shares anything at all. Outside of being trustworthy, how is this group beneficial to him at all? I know he said before that him and other archivists like to barter for other uncirculating things. All I know is is that he posted hints to his place over the years and industry people are among the group. He's been doing these kind of thing for the last 20 years according to some. (if you've seen some of those 'motherload' emails he sent to some over the years then this isn't new for him)

I think the only frustrating thing about this is how public the sharing has been made despite it not generally circulating among most people. Like, if he gave Fun Love out to 10 or 20 or whatever people in a Discord, who cares but this specific instance has been such a spectacle that it is frustrating.

There are people who become passionnate about the footage they have not seen. My view is quite different. Something I have not seen and not heard cannot have any value to my eyes. The dude who supposedly owns footage - and I don't know if that's true - is not sharing. Let's ignore him. If he had been sharing, I would understand the focus, but we are not there. Why admire somebody who is rejecting you? Move on... There are other people on earth.

It is interesting you are so active on a video arbitrarily kept in private. After posting I did not know about NFT footage and related circles, it is ironic and you are contradicting yourself buddy.

I don't know if this guy Neversin is real and I think he is a farce to be honest. But it is a personal opinion, no more.

About my previous statement, I am not contesting Prince's qualities as a performer. More like... "oh yes, a video of a rehearsal", and when you see the quality of the Roadhouse rehearsal footage, suddenly it is less appealing. I have not seen or heard the quality of the footage. It is what I was trying to say.

This guy has been around longer then most and been doing this for decades and numerous people (even people on here) havce seen and heard what he shared at various places over the last decades. Not to mention the info about tracks or sessions or whatever long before they were confirmed by engineers and other assosiates.

Neversin is obviously real but that doesn't mean you can just hand wave the rest of the guys points. What he says is true, the footage holds no value to some of us if we can't see it. is it high quality, or low quality with shitty sound? It's interesting of course though.

I'd like for it to be released and at this point, when Prince is 7 years dead, I see little point in holding on to such things privately any more. Makes me laugh when they don't want people to steal their stolen boots. The only thing I'd understand is if Prince personally gave it and said to never share it. Anyone else giving boots and asking people not to share is because someone else stole it and is covering their own arse.

Hopefully the estate will get around to releasing everything one day. But if the collectors are holding something that the estate doesn't, what's the point? One day they'll die, their families will trash their stuff and it will be gone forever or they will sell it off to a bootleg label if it holds any value at that point and they realise what they have. These things should be out there for everyone to enjoy and remember Prince. If their families don't know and this stuff gets trashed, that will really be quite sad.

If someone has something then it's up to them to share it or not. He has explained enough times that if we want something we should spam the Estate for it so they can profit from it and finance new releases. Who he shares with is up to him (old friends, industry people or who ever) but obviosuly he shares with people he trusts and maybe he knows they'll byuy official products anyhow. I don't know he guy but do know some people that get material from him and they don't share because of loyalty, they do show or let others sometimes hear or see things they got from him.
I'm interetsed in anything unreleased and having seen parts of the FA 84 show he shared (details were posted somewhere else on the quality and whatever)
I just also find the entitlement of fans in here funny whenever something gets shared somewhere else as if they have some right to it just because they are a Princefan. About the stuff he has well again he explained decades ago how he obtained his stash.
I just want to see things released but just like the most of the rest in here I'm dependend on The Estate or watered down bootlegs.

I'm waiting for a day when unreleased music (studio & live) can be shared free like on the Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode fan pages.

Without the fear of the Estate shutting the site down or assholes like Lovesigne selling the stuff on shity vinyls.

That will never happen. The Princefan community is one of the most notorious for selling anything and whatever ever since the 80s. Plus The Estate would never allow these things.

Yeah, you're probably right. But I still have hope, because I have no trust in the Estate to deliver something that has passed a high quality control test. Alice and Insatiable from the new D&P SDE both have problems, the first has a wierd mix (I might be wrong with this one, but it doesn't like his other mixes from the era) and the second one is lossy.

I heard taht the original mix and the outtake version with somone else singing for Alice.. didn't have that reverb in the backing vocals and other effects or mixing things (I have no idea about these things) someone felt the need to put on there.
Insatiable is lower quality source used than what we already had on the Beginnings boot, but maybe the version on the LP/CD will be better (but I doubt it)
