Premise: Prince has been erased from history...

(Full disclosure, I stole this thread from Reddit but thought it might be interesting here)

All the artists who influenced him and the artists he influenced have to work together to recreate his albums as best they can. Who is working on each album?

I let all of his former bandmates (the Revolution, New Power Generation, Lovesexy band, etc) recreate the albums from their respective eras. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis oversee and produce it all.

"New Power slide...."

Vocals too?

In my mind Janelle Monae would work for Parade.

Jack White for Chaos & Disorder.

I would remove Jam and Lewis and replace them with Rick Rubin. I think Rick Rubin could get the best out of the bands while staying true to the sound of there eras.
Jam and Lewis could be amazing producers if this topic was about The Time I think.
I highly doubt any 'influenced by Prince' act from these days are able or have the talent to do his albums justice. I honstly think those acts would just create a instantly dated embarasment.

I thought so too... But honestly, which album? I don't think I've heard him do any straight up pop. So I could imagine songs here and there but a whole album?
