In fact, everything he said confirms what we already know and points towards the leaked October release date for the D&P/Symbol SDE: announcement in early June + three/four months between announcement and release (which is what happened with previous SDEs) = early October release.

They could really go to town with the video aspect of this era (or is it two eras?).

Where did the rumor that D&P and Lovesymbol were going to be *combined* into one big SDE start? To me, that's a big mistake. But maybe it could work, if it were curated correctly.

If those 2 albums are being remastered and re-released on vinyl though anyway, it doesn't make sense that they'd be the deluxe as well. I'm still hoping for a Parade deluxe tbh

As eager as I am for ANY new Prince SDE, I will admit that I'm a child of the 80s, and I want a complete run of SDEs from "Dirty Mind" to "Batman" on my shelf before any of the 70s or 90s-on albums.

Here's a crazy idea: go look up what was released with SOTT SDE. Or 1999 SDE.

Sheesh, I must be some kind of super-genius to remember what was released in each of those cases.

Oh for fuck's sake. Each of those has their own tour, and there's probably audio and video of various concerts. And for each there are probably plenty of outtakes. Plus there's the side projects.

It's piss-easy to create an SDE for each of those separately.

Hard to get an 1999 SDE or just the dvd's of those bundles

If they choose to add an Originals CD as a companion to the Albums vault tracks, there's more than enough material to release at least 3 cds.

I think there are some real gems from the Vault from the 1980-1981 period.

The prototype of LET'S WORK (Let's Rock), the 2nd Coming Tour Intro Song, the song called WHEN THE SHIT COMES DOWN which is supposedly a huge favorite of Bobby Z, BIG BRASS BED, DEAR UNCLE GEORGE (an early version of PRIVATE JOY). So many possible jems!
