Well this is … about Wasted Kisses

I asked ChatGPT to write a story based on an obscure song by Prince. It chose Wasted Kisses and wrote this:

She was a beautiful woman with long black hair and dark eyes. She worked as a waitress at a diner in downtown Minneapolis. He was a handsome man with curly brown hair and green eyes. and once again it's not completely clear to me who these kisses were wasted on lol

on his wife, because she was ultimately not the one, and lisa was,
or on lisa, because he loved her so much but she didn't listen to him explain and left him.

ChatGPT scares me tho, so whatever it says, I won't disagree lol

TL;DR

BUT ... I was at there the only time Prince played Wasted Kisses in concert.

If you had not been one of the reasons that thread was pulled after I reported you pair, you could go back and look at the thread and see that the common theory discussed was not that is about his son, but that it is about the grief of his son's death and the anger he felt about the wasted kisses with Mayte. No matter how regretable this response to grief was, this is a normal one when someone is within 7 months of death of their child.

ChatGPT already did pick up on this common theory:
"He had married a woman named Mayte when he was younger, but they had grown apart over the years. They had lost their only child shortly after birth, which had broken their hearts. They had tried to make it work, but they couldn't find happiness together."

ChatGPT did not even need to be asked to validate this - It validated this all by itself without even being given the name of the song.

So back to the OP, what if "Lisa" is a metaphor for either his music, or his fans?

I doubt ChatGPT can think metaphorically and create metphors just yet.

Perhaps Lisa was selected as just a name that appears often in association with Prince (albeit not romantically).

Perhaps it is based on Lisa Ling telling the story that she went on two dates with Prince when she was on the View but contact was broken off when Prince saw her discussing a previous relationship on that show - The story has the reverse of this with the fictional Lisa breaking off the relationship because she saw Prince and Mayte acting happy together at an awards show.
