Wendy 1999 tour I remeber seeing a video of Wendy playing with the band on the 1999 (or Controversy?) tour but I can't remember what show, it sounded funky as hell! Can anyone help? Just like the white winged dove... |

It could've only been during the 1999 tour as that was the first one she was along for. That said, I ain't ever seen it so idk. |

Dez was the guitarist for the Controvery tour.

Do you mean as a player? Because she was around as far back as The Rolling Stones incident.
And I agree - I don't think she was on the 1999 tour as a player. Why would she be? Dez was still there.

Was she? That incident occured in the midst of the Controversy tour. What was her role, if not as a band member? Just tagging along to support Lisa?

Maybe it was another woman seen onstage during the 1999 Tour. Wendy was an unsigned high school teen then! |

Of course she wasn't performing until the introductory show but... If she was on the Controversy tour then that is news to me. If she ever said anything about it, must've been for the SDE? Hmm. Interesting. |

You might be talking about DMSR from the August 3rd, 1983 First Avenue Benefit Concert. She wasn't the guitarist on the Controversy or 1999 tours. Dez Dickerson was. |

I know when it occured. Yes, she was there. She's told the story about "seeing a blur" go by her; it was Prince running out of there. I was once in a chat with Wendy and Lisa, and - too - thought she wasn't there. She said, "Yes I was."

I don't know about being "on the tour", but the Stones show was in LA, where Wendy lived at the time, so it's not hard to believe that she was Lisa's guest backstage. |

Well lurker was off on that one. The Stones show happened before the Controversy tour started. But I guess it's feasible she was on the tour as she was doing background vocals for him directly after the tour ended (for "Free"). |
