January 21st marks the 7th anniversary of Prince: Piano & A Microphone

...and instead of announcing some kind of release from Prince's final tour, the estate is using this anniversary to sell more tickets to their Paisley Park tours for the chance to see a "tribute" (whatever that means) https://www.facebook.com/...5825978731

PP also has a disclaimer on their P&M posts that they don’t handle releases. Such fbs. They obviously know fans want the release. The estate is complete garbage.

Just saw the official Prince IG posted about it too....idk if I'm delusional but couldn't it be so easy to at least release a few tracks? Or a 10 minute excerpt of footage? A SDE I understand takes so much more time to put together and there's a greater financial risk of course. But digitizing tracks and uploading them to Spotify *feels like* it shouldn't be that big of a deal. For an artist who was so concentrated on delivering his music straight to his fans, I am appalled (yes, appalled) at how the last few years have gone. If I sound greedy, idgaf. I'd take a Purple Pick of the week even!

it pains me that they haven't even tried to sell some music as direct download on the official site.

something exclusive to the site, at least for a specific time, until at a later date they might put it
on streaming sites, or not.

but why not test the waters with a couple of things like a live show or two and a couple of tracks
that won't fit anywhere else (future sde releases or reissues etc).

I'd understand if they'd tried it and were transparant in communication about it selling either too
few copies or not making enough money etc.

but they haven't even tried.

while this is the single musician with the best known and probably biggest pile/vault of music he
finished and filed away. there should be some effort or at least attempts, experiments toward an
alternate release line of shows, (unreleased/uncompleted) albums, rough mixes, reworkings and
works he wrote for others. something to run parallel to the 'official' discography where they just
release 1 album or reissue in however many years they see fit.

the one should not be dependent on the other or hinder it's commercial succes.

but maybe that's crazy talk smile

I think not only fans are frustrated about how the estate are handling the releases but also Sony and Warner.

I don't think it's greedy to want the estate of one of the most prolific artists of all time to focus on releasing his music. If anyone here is greedy, it's the estate for peddling insanely overpriced merch on their website and sitting on a goldmine of unreleased music that apparently isn't all that important to them.

They're clearly thirsting for that Purple Rain money and they've unfortunately decided the only feasible route is Purple Rain PJs.

They can't release the final tour until the Netflix documentary is out/is cancelled.

oh i'm soon we'll get news about tickets going on sale for exclusive candle light dinners in studio B
for valentine's day.

for april they probably have a big (purple rain themed) mural planned on or near the parkinglot of pp,
where everyone can snap a cool photo (photo is $ 20,-, however, photo comes with 25% discount code
for the webstore, to snap up some pj's. limited stock, so be quick!

it's all very hush hush still, since they are sure demand will be enormous and people will not be
able to contain their hysteria if they announce it before actual tickets go on sale smile

the biggest news will be revealed in june, when they will launch a prince tik tok channel where they
will be posting 20 second clips of more or less well known folk strolling through paisley park on their
exclusive vip tour.

new - clips - e-ve-ry se-ven- days!!!!!!!!!!!!

the wet dream of every prince fan, young and old, living and dead. woot!

just to be clear: those tiktoks will NOT feature any images of interesting stuff in paisley park.
they will only show the faces of the vips getting their tour, saying things like 'oh man, I can't
believe this is where Purple Rain was recorded' razz mad
or someone saying 'hey hey just finished listening to THE MOST AMAZING SPECTACULAR OUT
OF THIS WORLD unreleased album by prince. wow! on cloud9 right now' neutral

unconfirmed yet, but highly rumoured: a new exhibit in paisley park, where in a side room
a 1997 mac will be set up, running an early version of the love4oneanother site, as was, no
new content. but what an amazing opportunity!!!

new courtcases incoming include ligitation between pp and axe because axe will
release a new deodorant (non related to prince) called Purple.

at which Londell will halt everything the estate is doing to sue them, waving the
PurpleAxxe blueprint above his head (possibly on tiktok, maybe exclusive clip on

facebook?).

oh, I almost forgot: it will be revealed that the netflix documentary will go ahead.
a six part series. six vignettes of 10 to 12 minutes each. each vignette focusses on
another member of the revolution, discussing the six most beloved songs from the
purple rain album (as picked by them).

do not despair tho because as rumoured the august 83 1st avenue show will also
be released in seventeen limited colored vinyls.

the only downside is that they are sourced from the same tapes the bootleggers
have had, the sound has not been improved.

strangely, the six docu vignettes contain short little clips of that same show and
the video will look amazing and the soundquality will be notably better, or at the
very least, we will bicker and argue that it is so, with people posting screenshots
of the wav files.

perhaps, not sure tho, so don't quote me, jack white will be seen visiting iron mountain
-speculation will be rampant that he's working on the original Camille tapes to release
the album on his label. he might even post something tasty about it on his twitter but
in the end someone will cock/pussyblock the release and we will hear of it no more, but
for a vague tweet from jack about being disappointed etc.

purple cassette tape of the abridged 1999 album, withouth DMSR. since it is no longer available
like that and all the actual fans have been emailing them for it to be rereleased.

woot!

but do not despair, we will get at least 1 'new' song. someone will post a demo to youtube
of a song they did with prince or that prince did for them or such.

snap it up soon though because it will be deleted within 3 hours.

small ripples about it on the org with many people asking 'where can I find it' and then
being blocked by moderators.

my predictions are, another katie melua song or perhaps something he wrote for rita ora?

also: on thevault seventeen pages will be created for 'new' songs from anywhere between
'79 and '98. many of them complete with quotes from lyrics or descriptions of sound.

some will ask on the org 'does anyone know this song?'

answer: 'yes, the song has been circulating for over 30 years and everyone worthy to be in
the know has it - or has heard a clip of it over the phone - or at the very least has had a
short transcript of that clip sent to them through fax, back in 1993.'

can we hear it? might it be shared a bit more widely?

answer: 'just how stupid are you? this song is not supposed to be out there. it will get some
people into a lot of trouble if we share it. besides, we would have been willing to give it to all
of you for free, but you are stupid and you don't play by the rules, i.e. you are unworthy. but
still, we came very close to allowing this and many many other songs (that are so good you
fools don't even have no idea, seriously, you stupid bitches don't even KNOW) to be shared,
but then someone who knew someone who drove a blue volkswagen in 89 and dated the girl
who knew the guy who died and stipulated a certain release schedule under certain conditions,
only after 2008 - who had it from either eric or alan or maybe someone else completely, well
they got screwed over and allowed someone else to listen to more than 20 seconds of this and
other songs, which that person recorded illegally and shared on discord and so no, you can't
have it. actually, you're an amoeba for even asking. sit the fuck down, fam.

ok thanks.

it's been watermarked in 5 different places though, just to see who shared which version
so the uppers can then classify them as a rat and make funny cheese-based artwork for
a watered down, mono version of the complete track. -after they have official word that
the estate is working on a Graffity Bridge SDE and Bloody Mouth is definitely included so
will be released imminently.

yadayadyayada, prince outtakes.
