I bought a shirt when they first opened, it was good quality. Then I got a stain on it and tried to replace it with the exact same shirt which was a completely different fit and fabric when it arrived.

It depends on the shirt. The black and white one they came out with for Syracuse was thin AF. Nearly see thru. That works for some cuts but not that one.

The hoodies are great though. As are the hats.

Nice, I'm trying to get some shirts. I wish they had more Sign o' The Times clothing to choose from but I guess I'll settle with Prince and the Revolution shirts as they look better.

The SOTT shirts were great. Definitely a different material. I have the one with the peach symbols and I love it.

Nope. But I've bought so much tour merchandise over the past 15 years--including Prince!--that now I need to get rid of half of it! razz lol

I got the symbol ring (jewelry). I like it, but eventually I intend to have a local jeweler make one for me.

Welcome home class. We've come a long way. - RIP Prince

Symbol zipper pulls, snapback Paisley Park hats, T-shirt, a mug (Diamonds & Pearls graphic--cool!), the Paisley Park illustration book series on the building, attire, and instruments, & the 1999 Super Deluxe Remaster compact disc collection--Aouah!!!

headbang

At a prompt I also suggested a new product design--well, semi-new--transferring the Lovesexy mug's graphic onto a sweatshirt, but I haven't seen that one done, so far razz

I think one can find SOMETHING attractive over there, if you're a fan and have some spare cash on hand.

It's the least I can do. LOL

BUT...I've noticed a drop in quality of the merchandise. That "white rose candle" looked nice in the ads, what with a dome. BUT....the symbol is not painted or etched. It's a CHEAP PAPER LABEL. I gae them a bad eview for it (and haven't checked to see if they published it).

I just got two of the magnets for Christmas -- the Anthology album-title prince and 1999. They're pretty good quality actually!

I also got the purple prince T-shirt . . . I can see a production flaw already, but since it was a gift I will just be appreciative and not focus on it!

I think the issue with the Prince store is not the merch, it's the service and shipping times.

I didn't get the advertised meal after the Ultimate VIP tour either! I had some vegan cookies and soft drinks set out!

I wasn't too upset out it, since I was solo on that tour (my wife and young son had to take the General tour due to his age).

Glad you got something extra though! That did happen to me back during 1-800-New-Funk days . . . a random shipment showed up of a JOTY T-shirt, The War cassette, and a few large-format Emancipation lyric books . . . all for free, apparently to make up for the Crystal Ball delays.

Last week I ordered a few things from the Prince Store. After I submitted the order I realized I'd included one item by accident.

The "help" section on their site says to cancel an order you need to call them... but there's no phone number on their site. Having no other way to contact them, I emailed them. (In addition to asking them to cancel this item, I pointed out the idiocy of instructing people to call but not providing a number.)

Theu just emailed me back and said it's too late to cancel the order. After I recieve it, I can return it, but I'll have to provide my own packaging and pay for return shipping.

On the one hand, it's my fault that I ordered something by mistake, so I'll understand if no one feels bad for me.

But on the other hand, in the year 2023, most (not all, but most) reputable businesses have far more liberal return policies. I've been spoiled by companies like Amazon. If I order something by mistake from Amazon, I can usually cancel it with no problem. And on those occassions when I'm too late to cancel an Amazon order, they provide a way for me to return it for free.

If this was a product I could only by from the Prince Store, then I might not be kicking myself so much. But it's a CD that I could have just as easily ordered from Amazon, and thus returned hassle-free.

As a follow up, I don't understand why they couldn't cancel my order. If it had already shipped, of course that would make sense. But it hadn't. It just shipped today!!! I ordered three weeks ago!!! Why are they only putting it in the mail now?

So now there are three reasons to never buy merchandise from the Prince store if it's available elsewhere, such as Amzon:

1.) The Prince store is more expensive than Amazon.

2,) The Prince soore will wait three weeks to ship your product. Amazon will ship it the next day.

3.) If you want to cancel an order from the Prince store, they make it nearly impossible. You can't cancel via the website or telephone -- you're only option is to send an email which won't get a response for several days. And when you want to return something, you have to fill out a page of paperwork. In contrast, Amazon makes this process effortless. You click a single button on their website (no paperwork to fill out) and then you bring the package to a drop off location and they pay return shipping.

Another complaint about this merchandise outlet is that their sale promotions hardly include media purchases. It's a MUSICIAN site for frick's sake! Give us the guy's music on sale once in a while to encourage brisk media purchases in the age of streaming!
