Can this not turn into a Young VS Old Prince fans thread ?

It's about being a Prince fan and realizing that none of these "new" artists these days come close therefore should never cover his stuff.

I totally agree--don't trust any of them to do justice to Prince's music. You actually like Taylor Swift, which I don't. Lol I want to hear Prince's unreleased songs in Prince's voice--not someone else's.

It´s not a bad idea, but I think about two things:

1) I am not sure if there are too many potential hits in the Vault. If there were, Prince probably would have used them.

2) Why not work on his already released songs? I know Prince didn´t like people covering his music, but if, for example, Taylor Swift recorded ´Purple Rain´, it would bring her fans into Prince´s music.

Probs because these are the hardest of the hardcore and they can't tolerate much in the way of interpretation.

I had deleted the comment, because i didnt to offend anyone or start any shit...but yes, Lil Nas X doing a cover of 'Jack U Off' would have the music industry and the media, going crazy
