does prince have a great compilation in his catalogue?

there's been quite a few compilations since he died, but im still waiting for something like prince's version of bob dylan's biograph compilation/box set. what with the delays in a SDE, youd think this would be something the estate could do quite well and easily (rather than reissuing the hits albums). the hits/b sides did a good job, but i think they let themselves down by featuring new tracks (pope? that non essential version of NC2U? peach was fun and cool but not essential) that (pink cashmere aside) werent really up to par with the old classics. they also maybe went too heavy on the hits/singles. biograph was a mix of the canonical songs, along with unreleased and obscure album cuts, and sequenced in a way that made them flow like a whole new album (which the hits didnt really do IIRC), kind of like joni mitchells's beginning of survival, or the beatles anthology

id like to see prince get that kind of treatment.

speaking of biograph "abandoned love" is one of the greatest songs of all time.
