In all seriousness you could have an SDE of instrumentals covering:

- The official releases remastered e.g. Alexa de Paris, those with Madhouse, Kamasutra, NEWS, C-Note,

- Live performances,

- Expanded segues and remixes,

- Instrumental recordings that became the music for released tracks, and

- Unreleased songs eg for the different unreleased 24 configurations.

You say that jokingly, but that’s the type of the thing the Estate might do. They mistakenly think gimmicks add value.

Any extended collection of instrumental works would be appreciated, if not simply for the academic value.

I would love an instrumental SDE.

But Kamasutra is caca. talk to the hand

Come on now, you know the estate would never do that. They wouldn't include an actual ALBUM with the Prince branded compass and GPS. That's silly.

Sadly, you're right. The album would be secondary. The tsotchkes would be the princple product.

It is better than Expectation, but probably not for you. I have used this album to demonstrate Prince's chops to Jazz fans - They mostly like it, so long as they don't first know it is Prince

It's in my Top 5. A lot of the younger social media-era fans rank it pretty highly as well.

Xpectation is aiight. N.E.W.S. is on a different level. Xpectation is like the 20Ten of his instrumental records. The "Purple & Gold" of his jazzy work.

If you're only looking for sexxd-up R&B dance or balladeer Prince over a Linn drum beat steer clear. But for fans of Prince the musician there's plenty to bask in.

If you have a one hour drive, give it a listen.

"East" is my favorite.

This is not a 'Prince-true-mental', as per "God", but there are moments of solid cohesion with the others involved (Blackwell, Smith, Leeds, Neto)

It was recorded within 24 hours!

What more could be expanded???
