Interview with Chris Rock on MTV (1997)

At least, something new...
Happy to have it in pristine quality.

https://youtu.be/_6k13ZDRl7g

Hoping that MTV will post below performances:
"Sign O' The Times/Play In The Sunshine"
"Peach"

Hopefully MTV will finaly just dump the full footage of the '93 Munich aftershow instead of just those few snippets we have. Or cut a deal with the Estate and release it.

As someone highlighted it on YT, why the hell, MTV cut the part about "Bad" video ?

Because it doesnt align with the current "agenda"...Prince speaks against his butt belonging to another man...that somehow is seen as "hate speech" and "homophobia" in todays media world

It’s the most well known part of the interview why would they edit that out. It’s ridiculous and I think you’re right

The tone of this response kinda makes it seem like it's the fault of gay people when it isn't. I have no idea why that was edited out but it just easily could e been cuz MJ was cancelled again.

Im definitely not implying its "the fault of gay people"...its the "fault" of the current cancel culture that tries to villify people who dont always agree with current trends, or support the current status quo

Cool, thought it would be weird if that's what you meant anyway and just wanted to bring it up.

Folks say things like that and it immediately puts LGBT people on alert cuz I'ma be real - I don't want Michael Jackson's butt either and have no problem with that clip and am gay AF.

It's funny that the "butt" part was cut from this clip, cuz, then, well,

Prince was asking "now, whose butt is whose, cuz it sure ain't mine!"

Butt, later, at the '91 VMAs, he gave his butt to everyone watching

"Whatever skin we're in
we all need 2 b friends"
