What happened to all those projects Prince had with his charity ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoW9DYGcN8c&t=2s&ab_channel=BEE-eye-ZEE
Rewatching this interview and towards the end the journalist asks him about the clinic, hospital and art school for children and he said that they bought a land across from Paisley Park.
Why didn't these projects come to fruition ? |

Because there's more to these things than just hopes and dreams. |

BECAUSE a clinic, hospital and art school would cost many more millions of dollars than he could ever possibly raise.
BUT...we know he donated with largess. His estate was valued at only $168 million at the time of his death -- much less than other performers of his fame and caliber. If you look at what was earned throughout the years, it's likely that he was a huge donor in ways that have not ever been mentioned.
I like the fact that the estate has not sold that land across the street from Paisley. It would make a nice hotel. Imagine an enclosed elevated walkway between a hotel and the museum.

More ignorant questions.
If you'd pay attention after he died, you'd have seen the plethora of stories coming out of him donating money to schools for their libraries, etc etc. He took care of Lauryn Hill and her family when she was in trouble. He funded at least one Spike Lee movie. He helped Trayvon Martin's family.
The list goes on. You literally have the world at your fingertips via the internet. Find out. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking. |

Absolutely! He paid off $80,000 of Clyde Stubblefield's medical bills, spent lots of keep Denise (Vanity) alive during her kidney failure issues and.....there are also rumors that he paid for George Lopez's kidney transplant.
ALSO: even before "We Are TheWorld", he was collecting charity money at his concerts, gave free concerts to sick kids and the students at Gauladet. He didn't want to do "We Are The World" because it looked like a cheap promotion for the participants. Susan Rogers' story about his recording of a song for that album is telling.

Always here to talk nonsense.
I didn't ask about whether or not he had donated money to other charities.
I was specifically talking about HIS CHARITY.
A piece of advice, next time, make sure you take your time and read what is written properly.
Thank you ! |

I don't think that sounds right. Building things like schools and hospitals are way more difficult and expensive than celebrities who try seem to think. Perhaps that's why he backed down on those ideas and decided to donate instead - something he was already comfortable with doing. |

They were almost certainly half-baked and therefore came to nothing. He had a lot of ideas like that in his life. |
