if you could choose one recording from the Vault...

if you could choose one unreleased recording from the Vault, either video or audio, what would it be?

From the sample some people have heard it sounds a lot like Cosmic Day and is sightly faster than the released version.
I realy want this too but my choice is The Divine just because of the hype.

this should be a seperate Live album release, like he says in the show 'This is a record' during Pop Life I think . This is really one of best shows of the tour I think.

Good question. Now that I've finally got an officially released version of "In A Large Room With No Light", my mania for unreleased songs has cooled. At this point, I'm just happy with whatever the next SDE will contain. (If we ever get any more SDEs...)

.

I suppose I'd love to hear any "sketches" of "Alphabet St.". I know he recorded the "Lovesexy" album in a very short amount of time, but there *have* to be some demos out there, right?

.

Oh, and I'd love to hear any versions of "Vicki Waiting" he created, especially that instrumental version that plays during the fund raiser party in "Batman".

we thinking the same

p's original tracking of mia bocca w/ his vox is an underrated holy grail as it's one of the greatest pop songs he ever wrote.

while we're at it, throw his original Boom Boom in there. so many 1982 tracks completely ignored on the SDE. fuckin sucks.

Yeah! 82-83 is underrated, I think. Is there a vocal version of My Love Belongs 2 U? Gimme it.

That song that he said was too good for the public
to hear yet, a ballad I think, in an interview With a journalist in the back of his car! In the late 90s?

Don't know because I've not heard them all!

Of the ones I've heard, I really want to hear more of Evolsidog.

That was The Divine.
He tried to place it on different albums and I think it was about Emancipation in that interview but he tld the intervioewer that he would drop it from there because it was too ahead of its time and/or too good for the people to here yet. That's why I really would like to hear that one.

I'm dying to hear Evolsidog in full since hearing the snippet.

I'd also really like to see some rehearsal recordings released officially (video ideally). The footage used in the NC2U video raised my hopes, but I’m not holding my breath.

I agree. Evolsidog is one song we've known about for years but still not heard nine full. The snippet sounded great.

I would also live a 1988/89 collection to get released.

Whatever studio album/s he was working on last (Hit N Run III, Black Is The New Black or something we don’t know about or a combination of all).

I agree with Evolisdog, as something I’ve heard ax bit of.

Otherwise, this week I’m intrigued by the Sheena Easton collaboration, Come Back 2 Me that is meant to be like The Dance Electric and Shall We Dance.

All the 1988 aftershows on best audio available, even video if available but definitely at least to listen to.
There may or may not be something coming!

At this point any unreleased songs from the Dirty Mind era! Besides Lisa, Rough and the guitar demos of Sister, there really doesn’t seem to be anything out there from 1980… hell if any collectors out there want to do the rest of us a favor and drop any uncirculating material from that particular era that’d be cool too lol

In particular I’ve always been intrigued by

American Jam
Eros
Bulgaria
Big Brass Bed
When the Shit Goes Down
