It cannot be "If you spell out the numbers which album is first alphabetically of these two?" because 5 and 6 are out of order. . . Perhaps you need to ask yourself why yet another poll to support what we already know does not strike many people as being fun, diverting or interesting. . My opinion is that the majority of people here prefer the older albums (or non instrumental ones in round 2) to the latest albums and this has been long established. . It is also my opinion that this fact is uninteresting, common and irrelevant. It is a perfectly natural and normal position for people to prefer the albums that first attracted them to an artist than their later albums. This is especially so if they became fans of that artist between their mid teens to late 20s. It is irrelevant because I can enjoy any album by Prince without seeking approval from anyone. I would never change my mind if I found out that the majority of vocal people on a discussion forum dislike one of my favourite albums. Equally I know that my hatred of the Beatles remains completely unaffected by their being some people who may disagree with me. . An actually interesting poll would be: . For You vs. Prince Dirty Mind vs. Controversy 1999 vs. Purple Rain ATWID vs Parade SOTT vs Lovesexy.
and so on. This would match like with like, time with time, and these pairs reasonably match the styles and stages in Prince' development. |
