The live NC2U is smoking... A serious thread to contrast my anal sex thread:
The live 7 inch with Diamonds and Pearls / Nothing Compares 2 U is fucking killer. Specifically the NC2U. Was this show circulating at all as an audience tape? If it was, I had never heard it.
The whole band is so on fire that it's making me appreciate Rosie. Can you imagine? Can you imagine how many Glam Slam soundboards that are this fucking tight and just SITTING THERE, holy shit. The day they get around to putting out all these 93-95 live shows, mostly Glam Slam as well as that late 95 era with all the Paisley shows, holy shit. |

Is this the same version of NC2U that appears on the hits volume 1 cd? |

I don't think any of the 91-93 Glam Slam Minneapolis shows have circulated. Wait until you hear The Sacrifice of Victor from that same show! The whole show was fire.

The weird thing about this release is that despite how many copies were given out, I've not seen a single one for sale on either eBay or Discogs. |

Were there others besides Celebration? I doubt many will be given up and IF, privately.
Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me. |

I hope we get to hear it soon. The Sacrifice Of Victor is what I'd be looking forward to most as it was rarely played. I love the version with The Steeles from The Ryde Dyvine so I'm guessing it's similar.
.
The 2 tracks on the 7" sound excellent. Nice hearing P and Rosie together in this quality. |

Yes, similar to Ryde Dyvine, but Rosie just takes it to another level. I went to an after show in Chicago where Prince opened with The Sacrifice of Victor, no Steeles or Rosie though.

Must've been great. I love that Cabaret Metro after-show (Malcolm J Warner aside!) and the DNA show which also opened with TSOV |

This version is so much better than what ended up on the Hits 1. He sure wasn't giving WB his best versions of stuff, even on the hits package. Now if only my vinyl wasn't warped. That version floating around on mixcloud is missing the fullness though. |
