Regarding the release, did the Estate (or Prince himself maybe) edit in Dez Dickerson's voice on 1999 to cover Mark's lackluster vocals???
Or was it buried in the mix???

and to answer a question from the former thread, Sheila E.'s set was auctioned off not the soundcheck, but both of thise are among higher up collectors/traders. Would be cool to have them both on this release along with the original broadcast version.

I have audio from at least 1 (maybe 2) of Sheila's set, and I have video from her pre-PR Tour European set, but I really want video from the PR tour since I saw it twice (and went to it to see HER at first, not Prince!)

Thanks. Hmmm. I've owned this on VHS, I have it on DVD via Purple Rain Super Deluxe, and I've had the audio for years in MP3 (mainly for Irrisitible Bitch/Possessed!).

My main interest in this was for the book, hopiong it would have pictures of Sheila and her band and was agonizing over getting the Super Deluxe or whatever they're calling it from the Prince store even though I have no interest in the LPs just because it looks like it has a bigger possibly more detailed book.

Then when I saw the clip on Youtube they released I realized the video looks much better but if I can just buy the itunes version not sure now. I wish I knew what the book had in it

PBS is supposed to be showing this June 4th but NYC Channel 13 has no info on it and it's not on the scheudle

I'd chip in as well. No worries if its VHS quality. Just a sweet reminder of the amount of times I would rewind her solos or Romance 1600 Live.

I just heard the whole show on the Prince channel on SiriusXM. I am amazed how good it sounds. I have had this for years and wasn't planning on picking this one up...well I just ordered it. I even like the Yankee Doodle Dandy part...the part of the show I usually skip. SOO deep and clear. A definite improvement.
