Prince's Brother Still Doesn't Have a Headstone

Awful.

Prince’s half-brother s...ears later

Alfred Jackson, known to family as “Junior” died three years after Prince.

"My brother helped raise Prince, he babysat Prince, they had a close relationship," Bruce Jackson said.

He inherited one-sixth of Prince’s estate. Family says money was no object in selecting an expensive casket and headstone. They say they paid more than $50,000 up front. Still, Prince’s half-brother lies in an unmarked grave.

Did you read the story? This has nothing to do with the estate.

TL;DR - The cemetery where Prince's half-brother is buried apparently absconded with his family's money and never placed a headstone on his grave. They are so evasive that the family is wondering if they should have his grave exhumed to make sure he was even buried where the cemetery claims.

$50,000 upfront for the expensive casket AND a headstone?

$50,000?
I'm sorry, but I do not believe that. Expensive caskets are $10,000. As a veteran, he could have been buried for FREE in any Veterans' cemetery including a headstone. IF "they" paid that much and the contract included the headstone, it's a fraud by whatever funeral home/cenetert was involved.

He signed everything away the day before he died -- right?

BTW, the line about "Bruce Jackson, another slightly less-famous half-brother" is also false. He is NOT a half-brother to Prince. He is not Mattie's son; he would be the son of Mattie's first husband (Jackson) and Jackson's first husband/relationship. He would have been a half-brother to Alfred.

Also from the story:

"The Better Business Bureau lists Stonemor as owners of the property. The same page lists 132 different complaints over the past three years, many also for undelivered headstones."
