Except for 3 Chains o' Gold, my VHS tapes and DVDs were sold long ago. Sign o' the Times is the only movie of which I own multiple copies (currently have both Blu-ray discs and 4K).

I thought it was? I could be wrong. I don't have it all in front of me. But you could be correct.

Too many times
I have probably bought and had friends and family buy copies of purple rain numerous times.I have been watching the movie since I was 5 years old
I remember the original VHS with the flowers on the side then the Warner Brothers greatest hits cover without the flowers.
Then I bought the dvd then the 20th anniversary dvd then the bluray that triple feature bluray pack that includes UTCM and Graffiti bridge

There's something about buying anything prince related that gives me some kind of great feeling and a good rush.Even now days

With media or digital games it would be nice to buy content once and pay an appropriate fee extra for the medium or platform instead of again paying content with every separate medium.

Could even tie that in with a recycling program - I'd be happy to turn in my Sign o' the Times dvd for a discount on the blu-ray!

When PR and UTCM was released on BluRay, SOTT showed up on Audience 101 (DIRECTV's channel) and other places in widescreen. The clapping by Miko in ICNTTPOYM on the off beat was fixed, as well as a couple of other things.

Purple Rain - 2 times (VHS & DVD special edition)

Under the Cherry Moon - 2 (VHS & DVD) Not a great movie...but enjoyable. Plus the DVD has my fave Prince Videos (Mountains and Girls & Boys)

Prince & the Revolution live - 3 times (VHS, PR Deluxe, BluRay)

Sign o the times - 2 times (VHS & DVD...I can't remember how I got this...but the version I have is great)

Rave 2000 - 1

Prince the Hits Videos - 1

Graffiti Bridge is a turd of a movie and just can't jusify it.

I fell off a bit in the early 90s so didn't get any of those releases.

The Undertaker was never officially released in the states. I believe it was only available on VHS in the UK and Japan and on Laserdisc in Japan. I used to have a pirated version on DVD.

I'm assuming its rarity in the US is also the reason why there are so few Sign o' the Times Blu-ray discs listed here. While widely available in HD format in Europe, Japan and Australia, Americans are apparently generally uninterested in searching for those.

I've had every released Prince video in either VHS or Beta and all the titles that are available on DVD. I went through a phase of collecting LaserDisc's too. I managed to get every title. The LaserDisc's seemed really collectable at the time, with some costing quite a lot of money. Subsequently, when I eventually sold my collection, some of them went for crazy money, while others were much harder to sell. I do remember the Japanese copies selling quickly and for unexpected prices.

The one I quite regret selling was a promo copy of the Rave DVD, which was housed in a CD jewel case, not the standard DVD case.

I've never owned any Prince Blu-Ray, only because I'm just not that interested anymore.
