It's on YouTube in the U.S. now. Man, the sound is just amazing!

There are other great clips in the latest episode of The Prince Podcast.

Tidal has the full show up as audio.

It's like a totally different show, and I love where he doe the "I would. Die for..." and shhhhh's them instead of saying "You". That wasn't really audible for me in past versions.

Some of the vocals and solos are comically up front in a way I don't think intended and they should have mixed in some of the original mix too for balance, but we've all heard that over and over, so this makes it feel fresh. It also makes it one of the best documents of the PR tour, which is what it was supposed to be.

OKy so confession:

When I was 16, Purple Rain came out. I was just in love with everything. And when "I Would Die 4 U/Baby I'm A Star" videos were released, I recorded the audio to listen to wherever.

My dad was a glass worker, so the whole house had mirror everywhere. In the living room, there was one large piece of smoked mirror on a wall, from the chair railing to the ceiling. It was just huge. But it was great for dancing in the living room.

My mother had a white knitted type shawl that she used to wear. It hung in the front closet.

I used to put on a white shirt, my purple bandana that I sewed sequins on around my forehead, and my mom's shawl, and would totally rock out and dance to "I Would Die 4 U."

I had a lotta free time after school when I got home before my brother got home. lol lol lol

My younger brother may or may not tell you a story about us using Prince tennis racquets to do "Let's Go Crazy." (He was Wendy.)

3:05 mark on the Atmos version.

I don't actually think it's Prince doing it now that I've watched the video back to verify. He's swinging around at that point, and nowhere near the mic, so it's the band chanting "I would die 4 .... " and they stop, presumably so the crowd can sing fill in and say "you". More audible on this version is what sounds "shhhh", so it becomes "I would die 4...shhhh" instead. If someone insisted it's a percussion fill or synth sound instead, I would understand why but it sounds like a distinctive 'shh' and it's every time the band stops singing. No idea who would have been leading the band during that section while he was playing with the crowd.

That is not a shhh. It's a whoosh if anything, and it's throughout the accent part of that song.

Nope, it's not throughout.

Then you're not listening. It's at least through the accent portion of the song.

You kinda make shit up anyway, so I'm going down your rabbit hole of crazy today (or ever, FYI).

Bottom line: no one is shushing anyone at a Prince concert.

No darling. I'm sure you're a sweet person IRL, but some of your theories or ideas are wacky. I never know if you're just trolling, or you really live in this purple-tinted world you post about. It's off-putting.

If anything, I look for the truth. How many times have I asked you or whoever, "you have a link to that? Proof?" That's not crazy - that's fact-finding.

But peace to you. We're both still here.

You're still talking about yourself. The difference is I don't have to explain why, the 12 people left here know.
