Where can I get as much Prince as possible in London (Vinyls, CDs, maybe collectibles?) Friends I'll be visiting London tomorrow for couple days. Where I live you can barely get a record or two, and I have almost whole main discography on vinyl (some older, some from Estate). I figure there must be places in London a hardcore fan from a musical desert would love to visit? It can be old vinyls, CDs, whatever. Please help brother out with any clues. Thank you in advance! |

Not in London but if you havent heard of it already and do decide to venture outside of London, RockitPool is in Southwest UK near Dorcester. probably the premier online Prince shop and also has a physical location. Look for it online.

Thanks everyone, I used the list and went to Soho stores. Some really cool stuff, even found Pink Cashmere/Pope limited promo. I would love to visit the one outside London but my work won't let me unfortunately. But it's on my list for the next time! |

If you're still in London this Friday, 20th, you can go to the Record Fair at Spittlefields Market. It's the first and third friday every month and they have lots of stalls and is FREE entry!. Hope this helps (nearest station is Liverpool Street, then a 5 minute walk). If youre nearer the West End, head down Berwick Street (it's in Soho between Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus stations) and down there is Reckless (used records) and Sister Ray (primarily new records) The two shops are opposite each other which is handy! But in recent times I have managed to find a few Prince and protege related records (which I had never seen elsewhere) in the remaining shops round there. Yeah, Camden was great for music once, but the last time that I visited all of my favourite independent record shops had closed. In the 90s it was a particularly great place for a Prince fan – you had Prince’s own shop (for candles and other nik naks |

), the 2nd hand vinyl stores and numerous bootleg stalls dotted around the market. There were some great bookshops around Camden as well. It was once a place where oddball artists, eccentrics and outsiders would set up shop, but it felt sanitised the last time that I was there. It's sad.
