And yes, it does say "remixed." But where do we know that Bernie Grundman mastered it? One would think with names Chris James, they'd have named someone bigger like Grundman.

That person may be referring to the 2017 reissue, then. But it still begs the question of what they are to be convinced of. The sound quality on the two cannot even be compared. The new one is miles ahead.

Yeah, I don't give a flying fuck who remastered it. The new sound mix alone is worth the cost. It's 100x better than what anyone has done on their own at home.

True, but I'm making the point that I'm not going to get lost in the details (like a lot of folks on here do, practically arguing what shoes Bernie or his son were wearing when twisting a knob on a console). I can acknowledge something without obsessing on it. I do trust Bernie's remastering. He's a legend and a default go-to for a reason. It's just good to know when he's involved with a Prince project. That's all.

When the Blu Ray is released you could sync the new audio with the original broadcast version of the show and then you have what you want. Easy to do I think.
