Well said. I've always said it's because of those types of folks that Prince fans can't have nice things.

Yet, we do. They just go unappreciated. THe estate could bring Prince back from the dead, and people would argue over the timing, the method, one hair out of a place. It sorta shows that as much as some people believe they know Prince and his music, that they really don't know him at all; and that they have an item higher on their list of Wants: being negative.

I guess you didn't know that in 2017 on Australian TV the original 85 satelite broadcast version was shown again as it was in 85, so no mirror effect, some different camera angles and no credits at the end. It was ripped and shared online so it's easy to find and easy to sync the new audio with it when the new release is here. [Edited 5/8/22 10:03am]

I guess i just want to see that WDC performance without the silly split screen.

Becaue it is a rerelease f the official home video release, same with Lovesexy Live eventually. The original broadcast had different angles and wasn't shortened/edited like the VHS/laserdisk relesases, blame Prince for that because he approved those releases for home viewing.
It would have been easy to release the original broadcast (and Sheila E. 's support show) along with the home video release on the Blu Ray, but it's the Estate handling this so half-assed releases are to be expected.
I don't know if it's on youtube but it's easily found online via torrents or on the only relevant Prince fan community left on the internet.

I'm very happy with their releases so far. 1999 and SOTT Super deluxes are great sets I've played them to death to the point I can sing along to the vault tracks. If a fan can't do that yet, they've not listened enough and shouldn't ask for dessert before they finished dinner. Having said that, I finished dinner ages ago.

Yeah same. I wold love to get new stuff (whether it's an SDE or newer studio work) but those sets have so much material that I don't know why everyone is so hungry for more all the time. I'm pretty sure the Estate will release more SDEs. I look at this way, Prince never gave the attention to his back catalogue like the Estate has so far and so, for now, I'm cool with it.

Because it's what was originally broadcast. It's not a random show they pulled out and spruced up (although don't get me wrong - that'd be amazing).

I'd like to see Atlanta (Take Me With U), and Landover MD (IWD4U/BIAS) released since we know some of their footage is already out. One of those would be good to add whatshernames set to the DVD.

I can't wait for her Facebook post and Good Morning America interview talking about how she did the lighting design, constructed the costumes, and tuned the keyboards for the tour.

A lot of those mod names are folks who aren't here anymore, anyway. Anxiety, June7 was last heard from last year, Mars23 hasn't been here in 11 years, RenHoek hasn't been here in 5 years or so, but peeped in when P&R closed (offering support of its closure). And yes, Casey seems to get two names.

He only gets two names because he's twice as important as anyone else, including Luv4u who is mysteriously absent, or laying low.

No, Casey got called out because he was using his position as mod here to leverage a meager amount of access to information and material ahead of the rest of us slobs and funneled that into his dumb ass YouTube channel.

His youtube channel is fine though, with the The Facts You DIDN'T Know About Prince. I'm still yet to hear the line 'Did you know Prince was actually gay?' tho
