FYI - Lovesexy Sony Legacy Reissue CD: Continuous Sequence (No Tracking) I finally got around to opening and importing my Sony Legacy CDs, and lo and behold Lovesexy is in its original, continuous sequence form with NO SEPARATE TRACKS for each song.
Please note that this is NOT disclosed on the Prince Store website, which actually indicates separate tracks (as of this writing). In fact, there is no disclosure of this until one has opened the jewel case and read the enclosed booklet.
Since this is a re-release and not a remaster, I am now on the hunt for an older, tracked edition. BUYERS BEWARE!

. I can confirm. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

I have a different tracked CD, which makes a third version of the CD. My version has a fade at the end of each song. Clearly, it's for radio or DJs, but some songs don't need that fade. But, there's a fade regardless. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

. Good that they respected Prince's artistic choice! .

I have no problem with the artistic choice -- my issue is that the Prince Store website advertises it as being separately tracked when it is, in fact, NOT.
They also have the tracklists mixed-up for The Hits 1 and The Hits 2.

Yeah I prefer and own the tracked version but since I love every song and always listen to the album as a whole it doesn't ever matter.

The Euro tracked edition was a re-release; had Lovesexy been more of a hit in the US, the US likely would have seen a tracked re-release in the early 1990s like in Europe.

If you subscribe to Apple Music you can stream and download Lovesexy as a tracked album. Lossless is available for subscribers. I have subscribed to AM since it's inception and plan to keep it as my entire music library plays via AM. I have uploaded (ripped) CD versions that are NOT available to stream/download in the Apple Music in the highest possible formats for uploading to my Mac using Apple coding - m4a (Apple Lossless Audio File), 16 bit sample size, 44.100 kbps. Apple Music offers 24 bit sample sizes on lossless releases, high-resolution audio and spatial audio too.

Ohers prefer to stay away from proprietary formats and walled gardens. FLAC works beautifully. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

I've had too many issues with Apple's digital licenses getting messed-up and locking me out from playing music that I had purchased/downloaded, only to then find those tracks are no longer on the Apple store. I also don't like that I can only listen to my Apple-purchased music when I have an active internet connection so it can continuously verify the validity of the digital license on their servers. Instead, I simply purchased Lovesexy a second time on Amazon Music and downloaded the tracked mp3s. Note: the CD version that they are shipping in the US is NOT tracked, but the purchase comes with mp3 downloads of tracked songs.
