YES! He's so good at what he does. Sure, he may miss a detail here or there, but it's far from enough to discredit his videos. He truly loves music. He reminds me of Matt Pinfield, who is a walking encyclopedia of music, too.

Reader's interview with Toto a while back was great. They talked briefly about the Thriller sessions. They mentioned the funny story of everyone balking at "the doggone girl is mine." Even Macca was like, "you sure about this?" But MJ was insistent on it, saying the melody and sentiment far outweighed a fluffy lyric like that. And of course, MJ was right. No one gave a shit about "doggone."

In some of his videos there is an awesome plexiglass table with cassettes in it. I need to make one of those for myself.

Yeah I really enjoy his videos. He's so knowledgeable on his subjects. He did a great video on Madonna's Live To Tell song with an interview with Patrick Leonard giving some fascinating tidbits on the recording of the song.

Wasn't it Leonard who release the demos of three songs of his (for M) that someone tried to auction? He was like "they wanna sell them? Fine, here they are for free."

And honestly, what is wrong with that? He's a music connoisseur. He truly loves the ins and outs of music, and what it brings to the table. It's enriched his life and his humanity, which music should do. The difference here is that we know it about him. We don't know that about the average Joe walking down the street. But he's telling us about his love of music by simply exploring these songs or albums.

As mentioned, there's enough, "Why I Hate Starbucks" or "I'm Done with Beyonce" type videos. Who cares why someone dislikes another artist or a cup of coffee? I wanna hear people's views on things I already enjoy. Books, movies, music, sex, food, pets. How do they see it? Have I missed something? Etc etc.

I agree 1000% one of the reasons I tune into this guy on the regular is because of his looking deep into things, a lot of people dismiss this music especially 80s as "dated" I always hear that and that is always the basis for their complaint and they never have anything constructive. Because of this guy I learned a lot about stuff I thought I know about and did not, he has these great in depth interviews, he did one with Ann Wilson of Heart where she was so touched by his knowing of deep cuts and words I thought she was going to cry and I have seen that numerous times in his interviews with lesser known artists that we call "one hit" people but you realize, maybe they aint big in america but they are not dead in the world, so many of his interviews are amazing, the Midge Ure two part interview about Band Aid "Do they know its christmas" is priceless, this guy knows and has a love of the stuff he is not some you tube blogger who knows nothing and just wants LIKES so he talks nonsense, he has built a community because he loves the music and gives light to alot that never gets it now. Like you said its a view from someone who LOVES music, I mean like Prince said way back, "Why would I listen to negative things that take away from my soul" I mean I am not going to his channel for reviews of songs, I mean I like what I like and I have had enough of "opinion" videos on Youtube, I want something like this.

You're confusing her with Sheila E., who was really Prince this whole time and just a projection on stage (she also pioneered 3D projection and hologram technology ICYMI). How she did all that and had the time to make all those lemon cakes.... just amazing.
