No one knows that. They have exclusive license from NPG Records to his WB catalog (up through The Hits/The B-Sides). It's in their interest to promote him.

You can like New Edition or RuPaul or whoever or not. But the fact that you know their name and challenge their celebrity status speaks to the fact that they have enough to have a star on the walk of fame.
