This is based on what I have heard, understood and know to be true:

* Prince has no intention of 'retiring' from music but his priorities in life are changing (or rather, have been changing for quite some time). There will naturally be an effect on his 'zeal' to create, and the frequency with which he wishes to release, new music. This should prove a good thing from my point of view...

* If NPGMC operates this year (and there's still a distinct possibility), or at some point in the future, it will rely on a similar ethos to Years 1 and 2; a business tool primarily designed to satisfy his fans but not himself (at least, not from a musical standpoint). In my opinion, when Prince is not truly doing something for himself, the results are usually average (by his standards). This has never been a good thing in my mind...

* Prince has been re-evaluating and is (in the process of) re-distributing some of his capital, including property. This is primarily due to his relationship with Mani and the lifestyle he wishes to lead with her. It is also (and some might say, equally) being driven from a financial perspective...

* It is highly unlikely that there will be a Celebration this year. Prince's spiritual beliefs are not a contributing factor and that is all I am able to say on the matter...

Interesting analysis of all that is in the rumor mill, Anji. I wouldn't be surprised if much of it comes to pass.

and don't ask Anji anything else on the matter. Either, he'll be killed or he'll kill you...something like that. I'm pretty forgetful

Yeah, but if it is true that Prince doesn't want the fans in Paisley Park or communicate with us because we are not JWs, and I say if this is the case because I don't know what he is thinking,but I know their teachings, than I'm not good enough or should I say dumb enough to buy any future music or merchandise.
