Let's give love to Reactor Just Jammin.

Check out home dude on tubeyou. He is the only reactor who does lots of Prince, in fact he has done every album up to 2000. He does bootlegs, outtakes too.

He just finished Vault, Old Friends. Loves the album, hates My Little Pill like you lot.

One nice quirk is he is cold on Dirty Mind but likes For You. Sign is his fave. He tends to love most songs, especially songs some here hate like Strollin. He even likes Graffiti Bridge as I do.

Check him out.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

Why do people waste their time on this? Who gives a shit what some n00b thinks about a Prince song?

.

Why not read a good book, or watch a good movie, or a documentary, etc., or perhaps do something yourself (e.g. write an article,...)?

I was fond of reaction videos for a hot minute, but nowadays I skip them altogether. Basically everybody who makes these videos pretends they haven't heard the song before recording their reaction video, which I just don't believe is the case. In my eyes, reaction videos are the laziest way to build up a YT channel (and thus some income!). And the people who watch them mostly look for validation of their own taste. IMHO of course, if you enjoy them, by all means keep watching! razz

RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

I like him too!! He doesn't just do Prince, he does everybody. But he does get away with a lot of Prince. To me it's nice to see someone young hear Prince for the first time. I don't think he's faking the album cuts and outtakes.

Man, he just reacted to Old Friends 4 Sale 1985 version. I bet you, his reactions are real. Just watch his Power Fantastic reaction.

He have heard them all. But Prince is just on a higher plain according to him. It's a common trend. As soon as these people start to dig deep into the rabbit hole, they're hooked.

Remember folks, Bart is the guy who thinks P's 90s work mostly sucks. Even Robert Christgau, America's toughest critic, liked Chaos and Disorder and Emancipation.

What do you do Bart?

The most popular reaction videos aren't really the ones reacting to music but movies, TV shows, & movie trailers like the Reel Rejects, Married2The Real, Jaby Koay, Tyrone Magnus, etc. Especially if it's Marvel/DC stuff. Some of them have gotten so popular that actors & movie producers do interviews with them. With the music ones, Saturday Night Live did a skit on the Twins The New Trend and Sting mentioned them one time when he appeared on Jimmy Fallon.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Plays with Legos™.

I thought C&D was a cool little record. (Cooler when I cleaned up & removed that stupid rap in "I Rock, Therefore I Am."

Your perspective may have some validity with "hits". Reaction videos for album cuts, eh, unlikely to be fake, especially with Prince album cuts reviewed by anyone under 40, because they simply weren't "huge" to the post-80s generation.
