I have two versions of Come that are completely different than the album version and completely different from each other. I assume one is the Glam Slam Ulysses version and the other is the Beautiful Experience version, but I'm not 100% confident of which is which.

The first version starts off with a drum roll and guitar feedback for about 20 seconds. The length is about 4:43. At first I was thinking it was the original version from January '93, but based on the discription on Princevault I'm not so sure. I later found this version on you tube labeled "Glam Slam Ulysses", which is probably right, but I don't completely trust what I find on you tube.

The second version is more of a dance mix with a faster tempo than the album version. If the drum roll version is "Glam Slam Ulysses", then by process of elimination I assume this version must be "The Beautiful Experience version". The copy I have of this song is 5:26, but Princevault says "The Beautiful Experience" version of Come is only 3:26. I figure this could be a pre-edited version or remix?

Anyone have an insight?

That's what I originally thought, espeically because it sounds like a band (Michael B and Sonny) backing him. However, Princevault says the original version "has no repeated chorus", yet this version has one. In fact, it's got the same chorus as the album version ("Come. You should do that, baby. No more will you cry ...). Did Princevault make a mistake with its description?

Also, if that is the original version, and the dancy/techno is version 2, then what are the Glam Slam Ulysses and Beautiful Experience versions Princevault cites?

IDK about the repeated chorus, but the version on 10,000 Wallpaper is actually the second version (the GSU one). If the sound quality of what you have is so awful it's barely audible, it's most likely the first version. If it's near pristine, it's likely to be the GSU version. It's a pity Princevault chose not to give the length of unreleased tracks when known, it'd help tremendously.

Thanks for clearing that up. I agree that it would be helpful if Princevault listed the length of unreleased versions. I realize there could be some inconsistency in bootleg durations, but as long as a song is within a few seconds you could be somewhat confident of which version you have.

Speaking of which, Princevault says there are two versions of GSU, a full length verison and an edit. The one I have is 4:43. Is that that full?

Princevault also says there's a regular and extended version of Beautiful Experience. The copy I have is 5:26. I assume that's the longer version?

Isn't the crap version just the GSU version played over a loud speaker and in shit quality?

I'd have to compare, I haven't listed to it in years, but I'm pretty sure I remember we had version #1 in one form or another, with terrible sound.

Not sure if both are circulating. I wasn't even aware of the edit's existence (or forgot about it). I'd have to check my (very messy) outtakes folder. Try and get the whole 10,000 Wallpaper bootleg: whichever version is on it, it's the best sounding anyway.
