The Rolling Stones Pay Tribute to Prince in Minneapolis

https://youtu.be/32rwi4fNte0
A few fragments from their show including a little clip of Prince doing Miss You.

He loved Prince from an early moment on.

At least he recognized that Prince had the 'it' factor when he invited him to go on that famous tour with them.

I saw a clip on FB of Prince doing Miss You, that was much later than the '88 aftershow clip (maybe around 2010ish?), and it cracked me up. He did the classic Mick impersonation, but he was also mocking Keith's guitar moves. I hope that when the documentary finally comes out, we get to see more of his comedic side.

Mick is a true showman. There are very few like him. He's also an amazing song writer. It doesn't matter how old the songs are, they still stand up as some of the best today.

That was the 2nd Gansevoort show. I was there but forgot about the guitar moves until you mentioned them.

Maybe I've spelled it incorrectly but I meant the Hotel Gansevoort in NYC. In Oct 2008, he did a fundraiser in the penthouse earlier in the evening and then an aftershow into the wee hours. It was magical. Sadly, also the last time I would see Prince live.

Maybe Schlomo is talking about a different performance.

The clip was pretty short but it certainly could have been that gig. It looked like that time frame. Of course, now I can't find it.

Saw them in 2019 and they still put on a great show, sadly now without Charlie.

It's been a number of years since I last saw them in concert, but they do put on a great show and they have such and amazing body of work. It was sad losing Charlie, but I hope Mick, Keith and Ronny are around for many years to come.

I thought the last tour performance in Miami in 2019 was amazing... Saw it on the late lamented Periscope live and just when RS started "Gimme Shelter" (while a hurricane was moving in!) the rain and wind started lashing the band and it seemed to energize them in defiance of the elements... What a last amazing performance to the 2019 tour! Elemental indeed! eek lol
