Well the sad thing about this whole situation is that many will not respond to my original post because they are afraid members of the New Power Music Club will read their comments. And let me also say, the current situation with the club has some legal issues that will soon arise.

Many of you have yet to ask the question "What am I making a donation to? What am I supporting?" As many of you freely give your personal info (such as names...address..phone number) have you asked yourself who is has access to this info? Many have commented on the censorship of the site. Some have said they have been threatened to not come here.

Really? If so then its to be expected for the most part. That's a trip if that is so.

Wanna know why? Because back then they lied to us. They told us "why cant we just dance..why cant we just dance". dance did not or would not ever take the place of violence, beef settlement etc. Kids in New York never ran out in the streets to dance to Fame. The eighties were just the hippy idealism of the sixites except more sterile, cleaned, but vapid and empty. Everybody lied and was full-o-shit. The music and its message were lies. We Are The World, Hands Across, Do They KNow Its Xmas...yeah right. Maybe for a heartbeat there was such a thing as Uptown but in actuality all it really ever was was a DMZ.

edit:so actually we dont need to go back to 1984 because we never left. We just dont have the b.s. of Uptown culture clouding the nihlism/facism/doctrine.

I've laways been the one to argue "leave him alone, he's happy" ect. And i'm sure he is, but now I just don't know what to make of him. I mean he seems to be going against all of his original beliefs, you know, not the prince we all have come to know and love. shrug I'm talking nonsense, if he's happy fine. I don't have to agree with him, at least the music's still great.

anyway...just popped my head in the ol' npgmc and seen one of the many threads about how 2 act in ol' boy's house and what-not...rd's right, seems like a purple civil war is definitely in its infancy.

hahahahahahahhaahhahaha! you think so eh? We were all high. Not on drugs so to speak but on the 80's and its b.s. culture. After the dreary 70's of course the eighties were like springtime. It was still crap, but we just dressed it up and partied. No hangover maybe but aint a damn thing changed for the better etc. As you can see.
