something even after becoming a hardcore Prince fanatic and listening to everything he's ever done (except for Kamasutra... because no), there's just something about Purple Rain on piano, man... i recall that scene in the movie is what made me want to become good at piano |

this just hit me.... i had to come back and say... 2016 was my senior year.... outside of my introverted high school life (jk i had friends lol) there was Prince's piano tour (and later his untimely transcendence)... and there was Captain America: Civil War... which is feel is still one of my favorite Marvel movies.... the two things other than graduation in which i was excited for that entire year (well the first half)
but anyways, after Prince passed, i remember mourning him by listening to his very, very last performance of Purple Rain/The Beautiful Ones/Diamonds & Pearls from his very last show in Atlanta... i listened to that a lot.. which sucked because it brought tears to my eyes... i was crying in Physics, for real...
and it just hit me that i never thought i'd hear Cap ever play that... i wonder how much Prince's passing effected him? both at the time and right now... hmmm |
