I think the last time I checked on Prince vault and used excel it was around 1400? I could be wrong it's been a while.

There's no total on the site, I just cut and paste the full songlist into an excel workbook, then sorted to get rid of the blank lines.

Yes, true enough. I did once start going through the list to remove any possible duplicates, but I was losing the will to live, so I stopped.

I would think there are only a few duplicates on there though.

In terms of released tracks, including all edits, remixes, songs written for others (though not including covers or songs released only on video formats) my own personal database puts it at 2104 tracks, assuming I've not made any errors or omissions.

12 Keys and The Question of U are still different recordings of a song in different stages. I'd consider them separate, imo, whereas edits of songs are just edits (ie. 12" mixes or remixes, even when the song is just the album edit with a tag ending).
